These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are an agreement between you and Dux Systems, Inc., a Delaware
corporation, which operates the MailLogic and Box MailLogic brands ("MailLogic", "we", "us" or "our"). They govern your use of Box MailLogic ("Box" or the
"Service"): email mailboxes on domains you own, which you use through the Box webmail, the Box Console, the
Box REST API and webhooks, and the Box MCP server for AI assistants, and the websites at which we offer them.
These Terms apply to Box only. MailLogic's email forwarding and SMTP service at maillogic.io is a separate
service with its own terms; these Terms do not change them, and they do not apply to Box.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our
Privacy Policy. If you use the Service on behalf of a company or other organization,
you agree to these Terms on its behalf and confirm that you have the authority to do so; "you" then includes
that organization. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
A Custom solution (section 5) may be governed by a separate written agreement with MailLogic. Where that
agreement conflicts with these Terms, that agreement controls for the matters it covers.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, and able to form
a binding contract, to use the Service. You may not use the Service if applicable law prohibits you from
receiving it, or if we have previously terminated your account for a breach of these Terms.
Your Box account is created when you first sign in, with a one-time code or link sent to your email address,
or with another sign-in method we offer, such as Google. The person who signs in is the account's owner. Only
the owner can manage the account's domains, mailboxes, API keys, authorized apps and subscription in the
Console.
You are responsible for:
giving us accurate information and keeping your sign-in email address current and under your control;
keeping your sign-in method, API keys and other credentials secure, and not sharing them except with
applications you choose to authorize;
all activity under your account, including activity by the people, scripts, applications and AI assistants
you give access to; and
telling us promptly at support@maillogic.io if you believe your
account or a credential has been compromised.
3. One Free account
Each individual and each business entity may have only one account on the Free plan, unless we have
expressly authorized an exception in writing.
You may not create, operate or control more than one Free account, directly or through others, to get around
the Free plan's limits, subscription fees or other restrictions of the Service, for example by spreading
mailboxes, domains, storage or sending across several Free accounts.
This section is aimed at deliberate use of several Free accounts to avoid limits or fees. Accounts are not in
breach of it merely because their users share an IP address, a network or an internet provider, or work for
or with the same organization.
If we have reasonable grounds to believe that this section has been breached, we may suspend or terminate the
accounts concerned, or require that they be combined or upgraded, without advance notice, subject to
applicable law. If you believe we have made a mistake, contact us at
support@maillogic.io.
4. Your domains and DNS
Every Box mailbox is on a domain you add to your account. Box does not provide addresses on a shared domain.
You may add only domains that you own or are authorized to use for email, and you confirm that you have that
authority each time you add one.
To receive and send mail, a domain needs the DNS records the Console shows you, published at your DNS
provider. You are responsible for your domain's registration and renewal, its DNS records and your DNS
provider account. If a domain expires, its records change, or you lose control of it, mail for that domain
may stop being received or sent, or may be received elsewhere; MailLogic is not responsible for that.
We check that you control a domain before it becomes active, and we may refuse a domain, or stop serving it,
if we cannot confirm that you control it, if it is reserved for our own use, or if it is listed by a domain
reputation service we rely on or is otherwise associated with abuse. Box checks your domains' mail records
from time to time and may restrict sending from a domain whose records are missing or incorrect.
Some DNS providers let you set up Box's records from the Console with your approval at the provider. When you
use that option, your DNS provider's own terms apply to your use of it.
5. Plans
Box is offered on the following plans. Every plan includes webmail, the REST API and the MCP server.
Free, at no charge.
Plus, at US$15 per month, billed monthly.
Custom solution, such as additional storage, more mailboxes or a dedicated IP address,
arranged individually on terms and prices we agree with you in writing, subject to availability. Asking
about a Custom solution through Contact Sales does not create a commitment by either of us.
Each plan's current limits are shown on our pricing page and in the Console. Plans
differ in how much they hold and send, not in their features.
6. Usage limits
Each plan limits:
the number of mailboxes and the number of domains on the account;
the storage used by all of the account's mailboxes together, including drafts; and
the number of emails sent each calendar month (UTC), counted per recipient (To, Cc and Bcc) across the whole
account. Incoming mail is not counted. A send that Box refuses is not counted; once Box accepts a message for
sending, each recipient counts, even if delivery to that recipient later fails.
To protect delivery for all customers, sending is also subject to rate limits per hour and per day, and the
API and MCP server are subject to request limits. These limits pace use; they are not a separate allowance.
We may adjust rate and request limits to protect the Service.
When an account reaches a limit:
adding another mailbox or domain is refused, and what you already have keeps working;
sending that would go over the monthly allowance is refused until the allowance starts again;
if the account's mail takes up more storage than its plan allows, sending stops and incoming mail may be
deferred, which means the sender's mail server holds it and tries again later. Mail that cannot be delivered
before the sender's server gives up is returned to its sender.
Reaching a limit does not delete your mail, mailboxes or domains.
7. Billing and renewal
Plus is a monthly subscription. Payments are processed by Stripe; MailLogic does not receive or store your
full card number. Only the account owner, signed in to the Console, can start, cancel or resume a
subscription.
When you upgrade to Plus, you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method the Plus price at
the start of each monthly billing period. The subscription renews automatically each month until it is
cancelled.
If a payment fails or is overdue, your account keeps everything it has and you can still read your mail, but
it cannot add mailboxes or domains, or send mail, until the subscription is back in good standing. Incoming
mail is still accepted, subject to your plan's storage limit: while the account is over that limit, incoming
mail may be deferred, as described in section 6.
Prices are in US dollars. Prices do not include taxes unless stated; you are responsible for any taxes that
apply to your purchase, other than taxes on MailLogic's income. We may change the price of Plus for future
billing periods. We will tell you about a price change in advance, and it will not apply to a billing period
you have already paid for.
Except as required by applicable law, fees already paid are not refundable, and there is no refund or credit
for a partly used billing period, unused allowances or a downgrade.
8. Cancelling Plus and moving to Free
You can cancel Plus at any time from Subscription in the Console, whatever your account currently uses.
Cancelling stops the next renewal. Plus continues until the end of the billing period you have paid for, and
until then you can turn renewal back on.
When Plus ends, the Free plan's limits apply to your account.
Nothing is deleted because Plus has ended.
If your account uses more than the Free plan allows, adding mailboxes or domains, and sending, stay paused
until you remove what is over the Free limits and finish the move to Free in the Console, or upgrade again.
While the account's mail takes up more storage than the Free plan allows, incoming mail may also be
deferred, as described in section 6.
You can upgrade to Plus again at any time.
9. Acceptable use
You must use the Service lawfully and must not, and must not allow anyone else to:
send spam or other abusive email, as described in section 10;
send, store or distribute malware, or material that is illegal, that infringes anyone's intellectual
property, privacy or other rights, or that exploits or harms children;
impersonate any person or organization, or misrepresent the origin of a message;
use the Service for fraud, harassment, threats, or to collect or process personal data unlawfully;
probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service, or breach or circumvent its security, authentication
or limits, except as part of a security report made to us in good faith;
interfere with or disrupt the Service, its infrastructure or other customers' use of it, including by
placing an unreasonable load on it;
access the Service other than through the interfaces we provide (webmail, the Console, the REST API, the MCP
server and webhooks), or access another customer's account or data;
resell or provide the Service to third parties as a service of your own without our written agreement; or
use the Service in breach of applicable export control or sanctions laws.
10. Spam, phishing and abusive email
Spam and abusive email harm the people who receive it, our customers and the shared infrastructure and
sending reputation that every customer's mail depends on. You must not use the Service, directly or through
any application or AI assistant you authorize, to send:
unsolicited bulk or commercial email, or email to purchased, rented, harvested or scraped address lists;
phishing messages, or messages designed to obtain credentials, payment details or personal data by deception;
fraudulent, deceptive or misleading messages, including forged or misleading sender or header information;
messages that carry or link to malware; or
any other email that is abusive or that breaches applicable law.
You must comply with all anti-spam, email marketing, privacy and consumer protection laws that apply to the
email you send, including obtaining any consent the law requires, identifying yourself as the sender and
honoring requests to stop receiving email.
We monitor sending activity, and limit and screen it, to detect and prevent abuse (see our
Privacy Policy). If we have reasonable grounds to believe an account, mailbox,
credential or application is being used for spam, phishing, fraud or related abuse, we may act immediately,
without advance notice or warning except where applicable law requires it. We may, for example, stop it from
sending, cancel messages it has queued that have not yet left Box, revoke credentials, suspend mailboxes, and
suspend or terminate the account.
11. Your content and your recipients
You keep all rights to the email, attachments, drafts and other content you store in or send through the
Service ("your content"). You grant MailLogic a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store,
copy, transmit, process and display your content only as needed to provide, secure and support the Service
for you, and as described in our Privacy Policy. This licence ends when your content
is deleted from the Service, except for copies kept as described there.
You are solely responsible for your content and for the email you send, including its lawfulness, its
recipients and your right to contact them. You are responsible for mail sent by any person, script,
application or AI assistant you give access to, as if you had sent it yourself.
Email you receive comes from third parties, and may be unsolicited, inaccurate or malicious. MailLogic is not
responsible for the content of email you receive. Spam and security filtering reduces, but does not remove,
this risk: legitimate mail may occasionally be placed in Junk or refused, and unwanted mail may reach your
inbox.
You are responsible for keeping any copies of your content that you need. Messages in Trash and Junk may be
deleted automatically after a period of time, and deleting a message permanently, emptying Trash, or deleting
a mailbox or domain cannot be undone.
12. API, MCP and authorized applications
Webmail, the REST API and the MCP server all work on the same mailboxes. You can give scripts and
applications access with API keys, and give apps and AI assistants access through Box's authorization page,
in each case only with the permissions you choose. You can revoke a key or an app's access at any time in the
Console.
An application or AI assistant you authorize acts on your instructions and within the permissions you grant.
If you grant permission to send, it can send real email from your mailboxes. Whether it asks you to confirm
before acting depends on that application, not on Box. You are responsible for the applications you authorize
and for what they do with your account.
Third-party applications and AI assistants, such as Claude or ChatGPT, are operated by their own providers,
not by MailLogic. Their use of the data they receive from Box is governed by their own terms and privacy
policies, and MailLogic is not responsible for them.
You must use the API and MCP server in accordance with their documentation and limits, and must not use them
to get around these Terms. Features described as optional, preview or unverified may change or be withdrawn.
13. Suspension and termination
Suspension
Suspension is a temporary restriction of all or part of the Service while the reason for it is resolved or
investigated. Depending on the circumstances, a suspension may apply to the whole account or to particular
mailboxes, domains, API keys or authorized apps, and may, for example:
stop sending, and cancel outgoing messages that are queued but have not yet left Box;
cause incoming mail for a suspended mailbox to be refused;
prevent new mailboxes or domains from being added;
revoke API keys or an authorized app's access; or
restrict access to the Console, webmail, API or MCP server.
Suspension does not by itself delete stored mail, and mail that remains accessible stays readable unless the
suspension restricts access to it.
Termination
Termination ends this agreement and your right to use the Service, for the whole account. After
termination, you may no longer be able to access the account or its content, and we may delete it.
When we may suspend or terminate
We may suspend or terminate your account, or any part of your use of the Service, if:
you materially breach these Terms, including sections 3, 9 and 10;
we reasonably believe that your account or a credential has been compromised, or that your use poses a security risk to the Service, other customers or third parties;
we reasonably suspect fraud, spam, phishing or other abuse;
payment for a paid plan is not made;
we are required to do so by law, or by a court or authority with jurisdiction; or
we stop offering the Service.
Where practicable, and where it would not compromise security, an investigation or legal requirements, we
will tell you about a suspension or termination and its reason, and give you a reasonable opportunity to
resolve the issue. We may act immediately and without advance notice where we reasonably believe it is
necessary to stop serious abuse, fraud or a security threat, or to comply with law, subject to any notice
applicable law requires. If we stop offering the Service other than because of your breach, we will give you
reasonable advance notice.
Ending your use
You may stop using the Service at any time. You can delete your messages, mailboxes and domains yourself,
cancel Plus in the Console, and ask us to close your account by writing to
support@maillogic.io. Cancelling Plus does not close your account.
We do not guarantee that content will be kept, made available or returned after termination, except where
applicable law requires otherwise. Sections 11, 13 and 16 to 21, and any amounts owed, survive termination.
14. Service availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted,
timely or error-free, and no service level or uptime commitment applies unless we agree one in writing. The
Service may be unavailable during maintenance, incidents, or failures of networks, providers or other systems
outside our control.
Email delivery depends on other mail systems. We cannot guarantee that any message will be delivered,
delivered within a particular time, or placed in a recipient's inbox rather than their spam folder, or that
mail sent to you will reach Box.
We may change, add or remove features, interfaces and limits. If we make a change that materially reduces the
core features of a paid plan you have paid for, we will tell you in advance where practicable.
15. Privacy and security
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and the content of your
email. You are responsible for the security of your own devices, accounts and credentials, and for the
applications you connect to Box. If you discover a security vulnerability in the Service, please report it to
support@maillogic.io and do not exploit or disclose it before we
have had a reasonable opportunity to fix it.
16. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available".
MailLogic disclaims all warranties and conditions, whether express, implied or statutory, including
warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and that the
Service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that mail will be delivered, received or retained.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranties to be excluded. In those jurisdictions, these exclusions
apply only to the extent the law allows, and nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer that
cannot be limited by contract.
17. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MailLogic will not be liable for any indirect, incidental,
special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business,
goodwill or data, arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, even if advised of their
possibility.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MailLogic's total liability arising out of or relating to
these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid MailLogic for the Service in
the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim and (b) US$100.
These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, such as liability for
fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where the law does not allow it to be limited.
18. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you will defend, indemnify and hold harmless MailLogic from and
against claims, losses, liabilities and reasonable costs, including legal fees, brought by third parties and
arising from your content, the email you or your authorized applications send, your breach of these Terms, or
your violation of law or of a third party's rights.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page with a new
"Last updated" date. If a change is material, we will give you reasonable advance notice, for example by email
to the account owner's sign-in address or in the Console, before it takes effect. If you do not agree to the
changes, you should stop using the Service and may cancel Plus before they take effect. If you continue to use
the Service after the changes take effect, the updated Terms apply.
20. Governing law and disputes
These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Service, are governed by the laws of
the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal
courts located in the State of Delaware have jurisdiction over such disputes, and you and MailLogic consent to
their personal jurisdiction, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring proceedings in, or to
rely on the mandatory law of, the place where you live.
Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us at
support@maillogic.io so that we can try to resolve the dispute
informally. Nothing in this section limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law where you live.
21. General
Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy and any written agreement for a Custom
solution are the entire agreement between you and MailLogic about the Service.
Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest of these Terms remain in
effect, and that provision is enforced to the maximum extent permitted.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
Assignment. You may not transfer these Terms or your account without our written consent.
We may transfer them in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets, or to an
affiliate, with notice to you.
Events beyond our control. Neither of us is liable for a failure or delay caused by events
beyond reasonable control, such as natural disasters, wide-scale network or power failures, or actions of
governments, except for payment obligations.
Notices. We may send notices to the account owner's sign-in email address or show them in
the Console. You may send notices to us at support@maillogic.io.
Language. These Terms are written in English. A translation, if we provide one, is for
convenience only; the English version controls.
